International Languages Teacher Training Institute (IPBA) is one of twenty-seven teacher training institutes and colleges under the administration of the Teacher Education Division, Ministry of Education, Malaysia. IPBA provides training and accreditation for both pre-service and The in-service teachers pursuing certificate and diploma level qualifications in the teaching and learning of English.
IPBA is also involved with `twinning' programmes with local and foreign universities that confer the Bachelor in Education degree for the Teaching of English as a Second Language (TESL). In addition, IPBA was set up to accommodate the expanding role of the Teacher Training Division in providing training and development for the teaching and learning of other international languages such as French, Spanish, Japanese and German.
